Pasta nights have become a tradition for many sports teams over the years in Charles City. This tradition is for teammates and coaches to get together the night before their next game, race, or meet to carb up and eat all the pasta they can so they are ready to perform the next day. Not only are pasta nights all about the good food, but it is also a time for teams to get together and have fun.
When athletes were asked what they thought about pasta nights, they were all on the same page. Chayse Hawbaker, a senior cross country runner believes in the saying “Pasta makes you fasta” and that these pasta nights help prepare him for his next race. Alexis Clough, junior on the volleyball team says, “The food’s good, and it’s a great time for team bonding.” Natalie Jacobs, sophomore swimmer also added on that same note, “Everyone is together, and it makes us more of a team.”
