Senior Kiah Katcher is a part of the 2015 graduating class at Charles City High School. She is the daughter of Rod and Laura Katcher, and has two sisters, Alicia and Kelby. Kiah is employed at The Mill, and is involved in FFA and 4H. She enjoys spending her free time with family and friends. Her biggest role model in life is her grandpa.
After graduation, Kiah plans on attending NIACC and transferring to Iowa State for Elementary Education. Her most memorable part of high school was being crowned the 2014 Beef Queen.
In five years, she sees herself graduating from college. She’ll miss spending time with the people she grew up with, and she advises underclassmen to “enjoy your time in high school because it will go by really fast.” Her favorite quote is “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn” Ben Franklin. She loves this quote because “it describes teaching to a 'T'. I don't think you can teach kids much by telling them they need to get involved in learn.”
