The Charles City FFA chapter held their annual movie night the evening of Sunday, September 7th. The FFA movie night has been going on for multiple years and the tradition was carried out for another year. Around twenty-five to thirty members attended to watch the movie Divergent. The movie was projected outdoors on the side of a building at the Floyd County fairgrounds. Cully Forsyth, who is this years FFA chapter president said, “It was lots of fun, just like every other year.” He also stated that the goal of the movie night was to get people involved and to do something fun, not only doing the serious stuff. Movie night is just one of the many club activities that go on throughout the year. FFA also puts on a yearly ski trip, midnight bowling, national convention, and different contests through the year to keep the members involved. It’s easy to get involved with FFA. Talk to Mr. Lundberg or Cully Forsyth if you are interested in joining.
