Colin Johanningmeier is the son of Eric and Melanie Joanningmeier, and a current senior at Charles City High School. Colin has a younger brother, Carter (13), and works Lions Field Pool in Charles City. Throughout high school, He has been involved in football, basketball, baseball, golf, band, and jazz band. Colin appreciates spending his free time playing sports. He has enjoyed Composition class with Mrs. McKeag. His most memorable high school activity has been being a part of the football team, and his inspiration is Ed Thomas.
After graduation, Colin plans on attending Drake University to major in actuarial science, and in five years he sees himself living and working in Des Moines. Colin enjoys playing multiple sports, and he will miss his teammates the most as he moves on in life. His advice to underclassmen is to, “have fun, get involved, and get good grades.”
