Jordyn Lair is the daughter of Shana and Dean Lair and sister to Karly Holland, Ryeleigh Lair, and Wesley Lair. Jordyn is involved in cheerleading (football/wrestling), dance, student government, speech and drama. When not working at the Lion’s Field Public Pool as a lifeguard, she enjoys art, reading, eating, doing art projects, visiting friends and family, watching Netflix, and going on adventures with Zachary. Her favorite class was her Honors English class that she took her freshman year. Jordyn’s role models are her older sister, Karly, her momma, Shana, and her Aunt Kelli. Jordyn’s favorite quote is, “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent” by Eleanor Roosevelt.
Jordyn’s plans after high school are to be happy and make a positive influence in all of life’s endeavors. Five years from now she hopes to be comfortable in the beginning of her career, with an apartment outside of Iowa, taking adventures with her loved ones, and changing the world in small ways. Jordyn’s favorite high school memory is of when she and her cross-country team went to Colorado in 2012 and she says she will miss her cheer girls the most from high school. Jordyn’s advice for underclassman is, “Be selfish. Do the things that you want to do and do them for yourself. Try everything at least once. Be brave and be kind.”
